A Victorian Affair

I am absolutely gushing over my latest photo shoot, A Victorian Affair! I am so fortunate to have such an amazing venue and vendors for this shoot.  Please be sure to check out their sites below.

The Maine Tinker Studio’s romantic style pictures perfectly capture every moment and truly make you want to join in on the fun!

I really enjoy the Victorian style but wanted to add a soft modern touch and this is the result:

I really love focusing on the small details…things that make the decor unique. The china and brooch’s are vintage, inherited from my grandmother and the flowers are sophisticated with the perfect touch of color, which I am gushing over!  Wait until you see the wardrobe styling below…..

Ok enough with the decorative details, check out the fashion. Straight out of a dream….

The girls could not look more gorgeous and the custom accessories I created (bride necklace, head pieces and bow sash), completes the whole vision.  The candid shots are adorable and fun…

Time for more floral shots.  The bouquets are breathtaking, with peonies, hydrangea, roses and hyacinth, and the boutonnieres are perfect with a touch of hydrangea, ranunculus and a fiddlehead.

I hope you enjoyed these pictures and it provided some inspiration for you!  Stay tuned for the next post.

Family Roots

This table was inspired by all the old black and white photos that my mom has collected of our family over the years.  While some are from her childhood, others are older than her, pictures of my grandparents when they were young, my grandfathers Air Force pictures from the Korean War and childhood moments of my mother and her siblings.  They are so much fun to look at and each has a story.  I thought this was a great way to showcase the pictures for a family dinner with all of our relatives….

This may be one of my favorite tables yet!  I took a simple house plant, seperated into smaller pieces and replanted into small glass bowls.  To give my table some height I put the bowls on top of everyday household wine glasses turned upside down.  Also one tall cylinder with bulbs adds to the natural family roots theme.  I really wanted the photos to be showcased so by all the centerpieces being clear on the bottom every photo is visible.  The clear containers also emphasize the great plants!  I added a pop of color with individually planted daffodils which became favors after the dinner was over.  The last touch was a photo with meaning for each setting and a bottle with simple white button mums.

The best part of the table is that most of the materials can be found around the house…so it won’t break your bank!  My family can’t stop talking about the table, pictures and all the fun stories shared over this table.

Hopefully this inspired you to use those old family photos.

Until next time!

Bicycle For Two

The  idea of a simple bicycle was the start to this event.  Inspired by my dear friend Becky, as she was proposed to while riding bikes to their favorite picnic spot.  They even incorporated bikes into their engagement photos which are featured below and are just adorable.

A play off the popular yellow and gray color palette, this shoot is defintely bright and cheerful with a touch of vintage….
